Joel Cooper

Joel began his career in manufacturing, working alongside his father in the family’s clothing factory after earning his CPA in Durban, South Africa. In 1977, he co-founded *Gotcha*, a pioneering surf brand that grew into a $200 million global company. After its sale, he partnered with *Lost International*, helping expand the brand into apparel, surfboards, and action sports gear, where he remains a key figure today.
With over 40 years of experience in finance, manufacturing, and brand growth, Joel now serves as CFO of Golden Mean Financial Services, bringing his deep financial expertise and strategic vision to the firm’s mission of wealth protection and retirement planning.
